The "Australian Diaries" were produced by Mr J S Allan. They first appeared in 1946 and thereafter were made on a regular basis of approximately seven to ten each year. The diaries ran approximately one thousand feet, generally lasted about ten minutes and contained between one and six newsreel type items. They were featured regularly on the Hoyts circuit in Australia and were shown in New Zealand, the United Kingdom and elsewhere as well as on television in the United States of America.
The contents of the Australian Diaries Nos. 1 - 129 are shown on Attachment A.
