This series contains records maintained by the Talks Departments of various of the state offices of the ABC. The records in this series were created by the Talk Departments in the Victorian, Tasmanian and South Australian offices of the ABC.

Each file in this collection documents a particular Talk program on ABC radio or television. Generally each file contains a script of a particular talk presentation, and often also associated correspondence. The subjects covered by the presentations vary widely from literature, to Australian history, to prominent personalities, to current affairs. Speakers whose presentations are contained within this series include Zelman Cowan, Patsy Adam-Smith, Paul Hasluck and A Bertram Cox.
