This series contains loose drawing of inventions which were submitted by inventors, together with relevant specification of inventions for letters patent under the Patents, Designs and Trade Marks Act of 1884. The majority of the drawings are printed copies, but also included are originals. On the back of each drawing is shown its registered number, which is the same as that of the related specification. Also shown is a description of the invention and a stamped date of receipt by the Registrar of Patents Office, Queensland.
 
Drawing numbers 1 - 3699 only are included in this series, numbers 3700 - 7699 previously indicated as being in this series are attached to the specifications of inventions (BP5/1).
