This series contains the Booby Island light station logs.
The logs contain standard information recorded four times daily at 6am, 12noon, 6pm and midnight by the resident light keeper. Information recorded is the day, date, hour, wind (direction and force), weather, barometer readings, thermometer readings, record of vessels passing, record of visibility of light and duties performed during the day. From November 1934 the senior light keeper recorded a monthly summary of activities and incidents for the proceeding month, this report was abolished in June 1946.
