This series contains scripts of talks broadcast by the Australian Broadcasting Commission, Brisbane from 1939 to 1964.
The scripts are on loose sheets both type written and hand written and enclosed in manilla folders. Subjects covered by the scripts include agriculture, elections, the 'Q' story, royal tours, schools, ships, shipwrecks, television, women, World War [11], etc.

The system of arrangement and control has been changed from alphabetical to a multiple number system. Originally when the records came into custody they were arranged alphabetically by topic but within these topics there were several records. The multiple number system was used to identify each individual record within the same topic. For example, control symbols 26/1 to 26/11, the first number represents broadcasts done by author V M McKenzie and the following numbers 1 to 11 represent additional talks broadcast by the same author. Chapter 3 is missing from The Q Story therefore there is a gap between 1/1 to 1/52 – 1/3 missing.
