Description of series:
This series contains 7 volumes of copies of inter-office memoranda consisting of memos directed from one branch of the division to another for the carrying out of directions received from the minutes of meetings and conference held by the Allied Works Council. The memos relate to works projects carried out or co-ordinated by the agency from 1942 to 1945, conference notes, visits, plant and materials, employment conditions, etc.

There are 2 sets of memos numbered from 1 to 123 and 7 to 451. The memo numbers within volumes read as follows:

Vol 1: 3 - 71
	 432 - 455

Vol 2: 72 - 123

Vol 3: 7 - 272

Vol 4: 275 - 391

Vol 5: 392 - 451

Vol 6: 291 - 426

Vol 7: 28 - 366

Due to duplication 2 volumes were destroyed when the series was reviewed in 2005. There is still some duplication of the memos, but some volumes have gaps in their range, which is covered by another volume, although some memo numbers are not found in any of the volumes.
