Series note
This series consists of 22 bound volumes containing records of service of naval and military corps of the Victorian Volunteer Force. Information listed includes rank and name of each member, the number of drills, parades, and inspections attended, and whether members were effective or recruits. The volumes are arranged in
chronological order, and volume numbers have been imposed by
Australian Archives.
 
This series ended in 1884 when the Victorian Volunteer Force was disbanded and replaced by the Victorian Militia, a paid part time force.
 
This series of records has been copied on microfilm by the Australian Archives as part of its reprography program.
