This series consists of one folder containing copies of various Defence Committee agenda and corresponding minutes relating to chemical warfare experimentation. The Defence Committee was the primary committee for advising the Minister for Defence on defence policy. These copies of the Committee's agenda and minutes were received and presumably aranged in this format by the Navy Liaison Officer.
 
The Navy Liaison Officer's copies of Defence Committee minutes for the period 1939-1946, arranged by minute number, are contained in CRS B5313. Copies of agenda and corresponding minutes for the period 1938-1946, arranged by agendum number, are contained in CRS B5314. It appears that agenda and minutes relating to chemical warfare
experimentation were withdrawn from each of these series and placed together in a separate folder. The folder is titled" Defence Committee Minutes (Chemical Warfare Experimental Stn.)". Within the folder, agenda and are filed alongside their corresponding minutes and arranged in chronological order.
