Function and purpose
This series contains a leather-bound volume with double-page entries for members of the New South Wales Military Forces.
Each entry written in black ink gives regimental number, rank, name, corps, to whom payable and information on date, imperial pay drawn in South Africa, pay and allowances to be paid by the NSW. Government and remarks.
Most entries contain annotations about pay adjustments in red ink. There is an index at the front corresponding to page number. The entries are arranged in a numerical order.
In 1989, this series of records was copied in full by the Australian Archives as part of its reprographic program.
In 2017, the microfilm copy of this series was digitized and uploaded to National Archives of Australia RecordSearch database. The digital image can be viewed by clicking the RecordSearch 'Digital item" icon.
