Items medium note

This series consists of 14 volumes of bound paysheets (and one volume which has become detached from its binding), for the 5th and 6th Contingent of the Queensland Defence Force.

Each fawn coloured volume has the title "Paysheet of the 6th Contingent, Month Of - 190-" printed in the centre of the front cover and "duplicate" written in pencil on the cover.

Within each volume the top of the folio is headed "Paysheet, Fifth/Sixth South Africa Contingent, for the Month of -."

The information listed includes regimental number, rank, name and payable details.

There are bank slips and payment vouchers in the front of some volumes. The series is arranged in chronological order from September 1901 to May 1902 for the 5th and 6th Contingent.

This series has been copied in full as part of Australian Archives repro-graphic program.
