Items medium note
Summary heading
Function and purpose
This series consists of a handwritten pay list on foolscap paper for "H" Company, 4th Contingent, Queensland Defence Force. The pay list is arranged in a monthly chronological order and contains names of members, with amounts paid to them. The pay list was recorded while members were serving in the Boer War in South Africa.
The pay list is in poor condition and is written in black ink. It includes pencil markings, which apparently indicate pay being received and small notes of amendment/advancement of pay interfiled in the list. The list is held in a manila folder.
This series has been copied in full as part of Australian Archives reprography program.
In 2017, the microfilm copy of this series was digitized and uploaded to National Archives of Australia RecordSearch database. The digital image can be viewed by clicking the RecordSearch 'Digital item" icon.
