This is an index to South Australian trade marks by class grouping.  The volume is divided into fifty class groupings showing the number and article eg class 22 - carriages.  Each page has the class number and description at the top and is divided into columns showing number (registration number from the trade mark register) and name of applicant.  This allows tracing of all trade marks of the same class to the register (AP494/4) or the additional representations (AP476/5).

Entries crossed out in red ink indicate removal from the register (AP494/4) due to non payment of the fourteenth year's fee.  Entries with double underlining in red indicate the trade mark has been entered in the register (AP494/4).
