PTT - The Australian Wine Board is a Commonwealth Statutory Authority established under the Wine Overseas Marketing Act, 1929-1961. Offices were opened in South Australia in 1929, the senior officer being classified as Manager. The Wine Overseas Marketing Act 1929-1961 defines the Board as a Statutory Body responsible to the Minister of Commerce & Agriculture (1929 to 1955) and to the Minister for Primary Industry (from 1/1/1956 to the present time). Accomodation for the Boards Office Staff has been re-located on several occasions, however, the records have remained under a single number chronological control throughout the life of the Board.
AP178/1 was relocated from South Australia to the ACT in September 2021
