This series consists of personal case files raised for pensions and other benefits provided for British civilian employees who were attached to the Armed Forces during the 1939-1945 War, now resident in Australia. Pensions have been transferred from their Government to the Australian Government by reciprocal arrangement, which may include treatment and hospitalisation if the person is eligible. Files contain papers on medical and pension benefits, hospital matters, liaison between Branches and Central Office.
The prefix of the series was altered to comply with a revised ADP prefix schedule dated 25 June 1969. At that date all Repatriation State Offices altered the prefix. However, Central Office Registry did not receive an official instruction and it was not until 22 February 1973 that the change in prefix was carried out.
