This series comprises of both negatives and prints. Originally, with most of the records, the negative and the print were contained in a smaller plastic bag within an opaque paper bag. Following repackaging in August 2000, the prints and negatives were physically seperated.
On the front on the top right hand side of the paper bags written in black are the controlling number and the page, eg E1/1-E53/17; E65/1-E65/146.
Pictures include flag waving crowd lined streets with the Duke standing in the back of a jeep driving along, watching a helicopter in action, greeting people and visiting sites.
The photographs E52/12-E52/16 are contained in yellowing bags and include labels, eg '11/12/56 Duke chats with Sir Dallas and Lady Brooks, Governor General Sir William Slim looks on. Essendon Airport ... shortly before the Duke boarded the aircraft for New Zealand'.
Pictures in the E65 range include an aircraft of the Royal Australian Air Force and a crowd scene near the Town Hall, George Street, Sydney.
