This series comprises photographic colour transparencies recording events of the Royal Visit of 1954 which took place in the mainland states other than Western Australia and in Tasmania. 

The transparencies are contained in clear glassine bags most of which are themselves contained in buff coloured envelopes endorsed with the state or city where the photographs were taken. A few are labelled 'Miscellaneous'.
