Function and purpose
This series consists of applications for immigration from
professional persons of British descent or nationality. The applications
include the application for (ES35A) and related papers such as photocopies of
degrees, diplomas and other qualifications and copies of any correspondence
entered into. There is a photograph of the applicant with each form.
The forms record name, date and place of birth, educational
attainments, languages spoken and employment record.
There are no indications on the papers if these applicants
were successful or not and no more than basic information is included on family
members.
Physical characteristics
A few loose sheets of paper with a photograph of the
applicant.
System of arrangement and control
Items were sorted into lexicographical order by the surname
of the applicant prior to transfer.

All items in this series, as at December 2002, have been
entered onto the National Archives of Australia item level database.
Series history
Transferred to archival custody on 24 September 1969 as part
AA1969/343. See archives file A1966/155. Converted to this series in December
2002.
