This series consists of Registered forms (M & S 21) listing all outgoing passengers departing from various airports in Australia. The form shows the date of departure, the type and name of aircraft, Registration letters (of aircraft), master, number of crew including master. The forms then show the name and description of passengers, showing number, place of embarkation in Australia, port at which Passenger has contracted to land, name, profession or occupation, sex, age, marital status, country of last permanent residence. A declaration certifying that the information is a correct return of passengers departing from the relevant airport is signed by the Master of the aircraft.

The forms, which recorded the information to be used for statistical purposes, have various codings in red pencil.

The series has been converted to CRS A1229 from Australian Archives series CT 72 and CT 73, which had previously been converted from CP 163.
