These pink and white cards are split into five parts: disembarkation,
personal details purpose of journey from Australia; period spent in Australia, length of present stay in Australia; place of last permanent residence, aircraft registration number, airport and date of embarkation.
The cards are arranged in bundles by flight number within each State or territory in chronological order of month, then by year. each bundle was coded by the recording agency with a multiple number. The first number indicates whether inward or outward (2 represents outward); the second number stands for the month (01 - 12); the third number represents the year; the fourth number represents the State and the fifth number is the flight number within the month. The cards for each flight have no apparent order.
A portion of this series 1949 - 1950 was destroyed during the 1950's.
