The records in this series are annual single number. In some instances, the year appears as the first number (ie 79/10227) while other file numbers have the year appearing as the second number (ie 40265/86).

Custodial history

Records in this series are transferred to the National Archives on a temporary basis only for the purposes of a Section 40 request under the Archives Act. The files are still considered to be active and are retained by the Australian Federal Police and transferred only for the purposes of the Section 40 request.
