This series consists of Defence Signals Directorate's (DSD) functional and administration files. The functional files contain information generated in accordance with DSD's charter. The administrative files contain information on general management matters e.g. finance, human resources and training.

Physical characteristics

The file covers used for the series are standard DSD file covers of the RM 75/30450 - AC 106 range. The covers are colour coded for the various security classes and access restrictions. They also bear the Directorate's identification, security classification, file number and title. A movement/referral record of the file and a space for recording "Archival Action' is also provided.
