This series consists of a notebook used by Justice Sir Isaac Isaacs during cases heard in both Sydney and Melbourne.

The notebook contains brief annotations made by the Justice in relation to particular cases.  

In each instance, references are made to previous cases and legal interpretations which may or may not be applicable to the case in question.

The notes may have been made during research surrounding the case pending final judgement by the Justice.

In each instance, reference is made to the plaintiff and defendant but not the case number, so it may be necessary to peruse either the Victorian Full Court Book (A10220) or the New South Wales Full Court Book (A10232) around the date/s of the notebook entry to verify the case number before searching for the records of the case.
