Descriptive note

The title of this item was formerly “World War Two - Surrender of Timor - Brigadier Dyke (centre) aboard HMAS Moresby, off Koepang, about to sign the surrender papers on behalf of the Allies, marking the Japanese surrender of Timor. Facing him is the Japanese commander, Colonel Kaida Tatuichi”. Investigation by Archival description Help Desk found that this was inaccurate, and the item was amended accordingly.

A member of the public has provided the following information about this item.  The correct spelling of Major Muisu Slioji is Major Minoru Shoji.
