TITLE: Immigration - Ethnic festivals, arts and crafts in Australia - Ukrainians celebrate Christmas in Canberra - Children of Canberra's Ukrainian community upheld the traditions of their native country when they sang carols around an illuminated star on Christmas Eve, which is celebrated by the Russian Orthodox Church on January 6. The hand-enbroidered costumes of these children brought a touch of old worldcolour to Canberra when they were worn for the Christmas celebrations.
