Synopsis |
Consists chiefly of the footage shot by the ABC shortly after the event, and shows clearly the devastation caused to the city by Cyclone Tracy on 24th and 25th December 1974.
It is described by an ABC reporter who experienced the cyclone firsthand. The film also shows the massive emergency operation that followed. Included are comments by the Prime Minister of the time, Gough Whitlam, as well as statements by Major-General Alan Stretton.
